Data controller
Império Automóvel, Trofa, Portugal. Full identification details (legal name, tax number, registered address and official contacts) will be published on this page once confirmed. For any data protection matter, use the contacts available on the contact page.
Data we process
Requests made on this site: name, phone, email and message. Trade-in requests: the details and photos of the vehicle you describe. Customers and orders: contact details, the vehicle purchased, delivery, warranty and service dates, and the record of contacts with our team. We do not process sensitive data.
Purposes
Answering enquiries, booking test drives, running financing simulations, valuing trade-ins, following up your order and warranty, and meeting the tax and legal obligations of a sale.
Legal basis
Consent when you send us a request; performance of the sale and warranty contract; our legitimate interest in the commercial follow-up you asked for; and legal obligations in invoicing and vehicle documentation.
Order tracking
Order tracking works with a code sent only to the customer and shows just the order status and the expected date. It never shows names or contact details.
Portal listings
We list vehicles on portals such as StandVirtual, OLX, Custo Justo, Piscapisca, Facebook and Instagram. We send vehicle data only (photos, price, specification); we never send customer data. Portal visits are counted in aggregate, without identifying anyone.
Processors acting for us
The site and database are hosted in the European Union, in the Ireland region (eu-west-1), under a data processing agreement. The portals above process vehicle data only. The full list of processors is available on request.
Transfers outside the EU
Customer data is hosted in the European Union. Where a support service requires access from outside the European Economic Area, it takes place under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Requests without a sale: at most 24 months after the last contact. Customers who bought a vehicle: for the warranty period and the 10-year statutory retention period for tax documents. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may request access, a copy of your data in a readable file, correction, erasure, restriction or objection, and withdraw consent at any time. We reply within one month at most. You may also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) at cnpd.pt.
Cookies
We use cookies essential to the site and to remembering your preferences. Analytics cookies are only used if you allow them, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time under “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of the site.
